Eligibility
Who can claim the subsidy
The scheme is for residential electricity consumers. All four conditions below must be met.
- You are an Indian citizen and own the house where the system will be installed.
- The roof is suitable for mounting a rooftop solar system.
- The household has a valid electricity connection with the local DISCOM.
- The household has not already availed any other central subsidy for solar.
Application Process
How to apply, step by step

Register on the national portal
Create an account on pmsuryaghar.gov.in with your state, DISCOM, consumer number, mobile number and email.
Apply for rooftop solar
Submit the online application for the capacity you want and wait for feasibility approval from your DISCOM.
Install through a registered vendor
Once approved, get the plant installed by a vendor registered with your DISCOM — this is where Trivonix takes over the engineering and installation.
Apply for net metering
After installation, plant details are submitted on the portal and a net meter is applied for through the DISCOM.
Inspection and commissioning certificate
The DISCOM inspects the installation and the portal issues a commissioning certificate for the plant.
Receive the subsidy in your bank account
Submit your bank details and a cancelled cheque on the portal — the central subsidy is credited directly to your account, typically within 30 days of commissioning.
